Florida (part 5): KSC

We didn't go to Kennedy Space Center the day of the launch because it is restricted, but it was something we all really wanted to do. We did so much, but couldn't quite fit it all into one trip. We all agreed that the launch simulator was the best part of the day and highly recommend you brave the long (though fairly swift moving) line to try it!  Here are some of the highlights:

The kids in Explorer bay ~~ Chris under Explorer heat shield

Me by sand sculpture of space flight ~~ N, Chris, S, & Little C on bus to Observation Gantry

S lamenting his bad sunburns ~~ Me and N looking out toward launch towers

Family photo time.
The launch tower is behind us though the camera washed it out.
(Daniel was so nervous he wouldn't go anywhere near the edge of the tower. Hee hee.)

Big C in the Apollo 8 control center ~~ Cora in the ISS museum

D & S in ISS museum ~~ N falls asleep in the stroller. LOL

D & S in front of Explorer ~~ N by astronaut suit
(N hasn't stopped talking about spaceships and astronauts since out trip!)
