Since sometimes I find motherhood a paradoxical phenomenon I have been coming up with these new saying over the past couple of days that I call If You're Gonna Do That's.
They go something like this:
How to get the baby back to sleep in the morning
One way to get a baby back to sleep in the morning so that you can catch just a few more winks yourself is to put the baby in bed with you.
But if you're gonna do that you should go to the bathroom first.
If you're gonna do that you should make a bottle for the baby.
If you're gonna do that you should hold the baby while eating to avoid ear infections.
If you're gonna do that you need to change the baby's diaper too.
If you're gonna do that you might as well put his/her clothes on for the day.
If you're gonna do that you should give him/her a quick bath first.
If you're gonna do that you probably oughtta clean the tub first.
If you're gonna do that you need to throw in a load of towels in the wash.
If you're gonna do that you really need to wash the sheets as well.
But if you're gonna do that...
You need to put the baby back to sleep.

I absolutely love your "If you're gonna do that..." I totally feel like that all the time! It was really fun to read if I come up with one I'll share. Oh and it reminded me of "If you give a pig a pancake" (really cute books and there are others too if you've never heard of them).
Hilarous! Thanks for making me happy to be out of the baby stage. It is fun while it last but not such a bad thing when it is over.
