This weekend we went to our second official "Camp Damp" campout. It's an unofficial church activity where many of the members in our area get together for 3 days and 2 nights of primitive tent camping (any camping in which the only facilities are old fashioned outhouses qualifies as primitive in my book!).
Reasons year 2 was so much better:
1) I didn't have to go by myself with the kids
2) the weather was perfect (Camp Damp wasn't so damp after all)
3) I'm not 2 weeks away from having a baby.
4) I got away with only having to use those horrible, awful, disgusting outhouses only 3 times (I have it down... the closest public toilet is 5 miles away. Thank heavens for my ability to drive into town!)
Of course, one of the best things about camping is the campfire. You are privileged to watch our very own, authentic Camp Damp campfire right here on my blog. What other blog can claim THAT!
