40th birthday!!
And for his birthday, he got a brand new heart stint!
The blockage was "at least 80%" according to the doctor who did it (which we found out is the same one that did both of his dad's heart caths). Anything over 75% is considered stintable. So, that's what they did. They also checked all the other arteries and veins and they all look good!! We are very happy and relieved. The doctor was also very confident that all the symptoms (i.e. shortness of breath, dizziness, tiredness, etc) will go away now.
He is feeling great but is still pretty tired. He should be home by noon tomorrow.
Yippee!!
We are very grateful for an excellent team of doctors, nurses, and hospital staff at the McConnell Heart Center! They have all been phenomenal.
