Our Little Wii Demon

I have 2 children that I am seriously thinking are Wii addicts. One is Cora, who isn't all that bad unless she remembers we have one. She will play for hours and hours. Tearing her away from it is like pulling teeth. However, this isn't usually a problem on normal days, only weekends and days off school when we turn it on for some family fun.

Nathanael on the other hand is a totally different story. Just the sight of anything to do with the Wii, including pictures, remotes, game cases, etc, turns him into a little monster! He has even learned how to push things over to the entertainment center in order to climb up and get the remotes. He has almost figured out how to get around the lock to the door of the cabinet the Wii is in. If he wants to play, he will scream and cry until you finally have to put him in bed for being so outta control.

Here are some pix from a last week when he had one of his Wii moments. He cried himself to sleep on the couch clutching the remote. You can't see it, but he has it in one hand and laying on it, so I wouldn't take it away.

Of course, after trying to remove the remote to put him to bed, he was ready for round 2.
The funny thing is, he's pretty good at playing. He can bowl and play baseball mostly cuz they both use a similar hand motion. His timing is off however, so he can't really play an actual game with anyone.

I hope to get a video of him doing this soon. Not only for your entertainment, but for future blackmail purposes.

I'm so glad it's not just my Daniel. He is pretty good at bowling, tennis, and baseball. And I'm honestly shocked at his Guitar Hero skills--he's taught himself. He also loves Mario Kart but he keeps erasing our license...

That's funny, Ethan is in love with the Wii also but only has moment of insanity when it comes to playing. It has been a really fun system to have for our family, we really love it.
